Trump picks Lee Zeldin as new head of the EPA

President-Elect Trump named Lee Zeldin as the new head of the EPA. It is widely believed that Zeldin will roll back climate change regulations and rescind billions in funding under the Inflation Reduction Act. So what can we expect for refrigerant regulations? Who knows? Keep in mind that Trump pushed for and passed the AIM Act. Also, don’t forget that future administrations can reach back in time into your compliance records, so what you do the next 4 years can haunt you.

Another Fantastic Technician Training Summit

The NASRC held yet another fabulous Natural Refrigeration Training Summit along with US Local 32 and the Seattle Area Pipe Trades November 12-14. Not only did this training cover sessions with multiple industry experts on Propane and CO2, it included hands-on training breakout sessions and featured all of the latest natural refrigerant products and service offerings. Keep an eye on the NASRC website for their training series and don’t miss out on your chance to attend one in the future!

Don’t Forget to Defrost that Turkey!

It’s that time of year, folks all over the US will be forgetting to defrost their turkey in time. The USDA recommends defrosting your bird in the fridge for 1 day per every 4-5 lbs they do not recommend defrosting it in the dishwasher, which should be pretty self explanatory but here we are. And if you don’t want to be that person who gives the whole family salmonella poisoning, don’t defrost your turkey by letting it sit out (assuming you like your family …).
